Story Mapping
User story mapping is a visual exercise to represent the Backlog. Teams create a dynamic outline of a representative user's interactions with the product to help them prioritizing Backlog.

In Product Management a Story Mapping is a conceptual methodology for sorting and prioritizing User Stories in a Minimum Valuable Product (MVP) - but Story Mapping is not restricted to MVP.

A Story Mapping show a list of Activities in journey, in an horizontal Backbone. (Think about do that and then that, and then ... ...). Each Activities can have one or multiple Epics, and each epic is containing multiple User Stories (US).

The MVT is usually the to first swimlane and groups all US required to launch the Business. The other swimlanes are the Release and are listed top-down.
